Hotel Madarao ★★★

not much common area to socialize other than small room near foyer and a bar

location is not so far away from ski resort , room is warm

wifi is pretty slow, shower water is not hot enough, didn’t have osen.

check-in time very late (16:00) , but staff arrange sooner, breacfast very poor

very friendly staff, cheap ski rental via the hotel (cheaper than directly at the ski resort)

- continental breakfast didn't have a lot of options (had toast, butter, jam, hard boiled eggs, and cereal, but no ham, cheese, bacon, no fresh fruit or veg), green tea was basically just hot water and only instant coffee was available; this might be fair for the price but since the breakfast was advertised as excellent we had higher expectations. - kerosene room heaters are very common in Japan, but still as a non-Japanese person the smell of the exhaust when the heater starts is not nice; felt a bit like the hallways etc in the hotel could have been aired out a bit more frequently to smell less of kerosene exhaust.

Location is great and close to the ski resort. Staff is nice.

Breakfast was too minimal (break, cereal, egg and instant coffee) hotel is old so the bathroom is very small and a bit smelly. there was no hot water one of our evenings which is annoying after spending the day outside.

Breakfast is really simple. Heater is not warm enough, and hot water need to wait for a long time. Maybe it's because we came in really early season.

None of the facilities were operational, toilet on my floor was out of order, onsen was empty, hand dryer didn’t work, room was freezing. Completely unpleasant

五人房衛浴設備排水口會回流髒污，服務人員回覆說因為設施老舊所以沒辦法，那我也只能給這樣的評論，沒辦法。

日本語が出来るスタッフが1人しかいなく、そのスタッフが居ないと、なかなか言いたい事が通じませんでした。毎年お邪魔していましたが、今年は大浴場が閉鎖されていて、その説明もなく、結局部屋のお風呂に入りました。 後は駐車場も大雪で整備されてなく、他の車も適当に停めてあるので、出る事が難しくて、かなりの時間をついやしました。 毎年お邪魔していましたが、今年は最悪でした。

スタッフが優しい。

スタッフ以外の全てが良く無い。 不潔、狭いなど列挙すればキリが無い。

日本語が通じないし、寝室の清掃が悪くダニにたくさん噛まれた。 お湯はでないし最悪でした。

受付の人は愛嬌があって良かった。

部屋にテレビ、ドライヤー、歯ブラシセット、フェイスタオル、ティッシュ、テーブルがない。無いならチェックイン時に説明するべき。翌日外出後、部屋に帰ったらゴミは片付けてあったが、清掃やタオルの交換はされてなかった。布団も乱れたまま。しないなら、それも説明するべき。HPもないから情報が何も分からない。朝食会場は暖房が付いておらず寒い。朝食開始時間になっても茹で玉子が用意されてない。食べ終わった時に運ばれてきた。
